
I went with the other
CIEE students to
Reales Alcazares or the Royal palace. It is built on what was originally a
Muslim palace, so when the Christians took back
Sevilla, the king at the time wanted to keep that look for the palace, so he had it built in a
mudejar style, which is architecture that is built like Muslim work, but built by Christians. The upper section of the palace is still used today when members of the royal family come to
Sevilla. It was a beautiful place. There was a Royal Palace, which is now a public park because it is so large, was breathtaking and even had a
labyrinth.
